The end of the year wrap up

2023 is coming to a close and has showed no signs of slowing down! There is a lot to catch you up on.

Introducing Amy

We are excited to introduce Amy Drake, who has recently joined the TKM whānau as a trustee and General Manager. Amy has an extensive background in mental health, health and not for profit, and has joined the team to help us achieve the strategic goals we have set for ourselves over the last 12 months, and grow the impact we have for our community.

Psychological First Aid Training live on NZ Ju Jitsu Federation learning platform

Chris has put together a really good series of training modules for Psychological First Aid - Nurturing Mental Wellness, and the good folk over at the NZ Ju Jitsu Federation are hosting this course on their Thinkific site. Sign up here to gain a better understanding of mental wellness, how to objectively identify issues and communicate needs.

You can find our Tango Kilo Mike coffee here

One door closes...

After a highly successful 18 months our relationship with Te Heke Mai is coming to an end for new referrals as of 1 January 2024. We recognise that the needs of our Tango Kilo Mike community have grown and have been investigating a more comprehensive support programme that meets the support needs of the community. We are working on the final details of a new partnership and will have more details of this in the new year. In the meantime, those of you in the Tango Kilo Mike community who are using the Te Heke Mai programme can continue to do so.

Westpac Financial Literacy and wellbeing support

The first year of our partnership with Westpac has drawn to a close and the last quarterly seminars were in November. This quarter they were all about home ownership and if you missed them you can watch the recordings at the links here:

Keep an eye out on instagram and in our blogs for the 2024 seminar dates.

Support over the holiday period

The team will be taking some time out over the Christmas/New Year period so it may take us a little time to answer messages and it might be a little harder to get hold of us in a hurry. If you need to talk to someone we encourage you to reach out to one of these other great services.

In an emergency please call 111.

We wish you all a safe Christmas and look forward to seeing you all in the New Year.
